Little Shop of Horrors is a horror-comedy-rock-musical by composer Alan Menken (The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin) and writer Howard Ashman, about a hapless florist shop worker who raises a plant that feeds on human blood and flesh.  The musical is based on the low-budget 1960 black comedy film of the same name, directed by Roger Corman.  The music, composed by Menken in the style of early 1960s rock and roll, doo-wop and early Motown, includes several well-known tunes, including the title song, “Skid Row (Downtown)”, “Somewhere That’s Green” and “Suddenly, Seymour.”

Platte Valley Players’ has an incredible cast of performers including, Larry T. Davis, Jasmine Jones, Bethany Luhrs, Abby McInerney, Brandon Phelps, Charlie Schmidt, Cory Wending & Fiona Wohlwarth.

This production is directed by Kelly Van Oosbree with music direction (live orchestra) by Bonnie Simcox.

Ticketing Policies:
– No refunds or exchanges.
– In consideration of our patrons, no children under 3 will be permitted with the exception of our children’s productions.
– Children = 12 and under, Seniors = 65 and older.
– Doors open 30 minutes prior to showtime.
– All seating is general admission. If you need special seating or help, please notify us.
– Everyone entering the theatre must have a ticket.
– Patrons arriving after the start of the performance will be seated at the discretion of management. Late-comers cannot be guaranteed seating.
– The use of cameras, recording devices, phones, radios and pagers is strictly prohibited.
– Online tickets sales close 3 hours prior to showtime.
– In the event of a cancellation for which there is no rescheduled date, tickets may be exchanged or refunded.
